Hank's family, Kate, Jayne, Peter, Tara, Phil, Willie, Jessica and families wish to express our thanks to everyone who supported us during his long illness. Thank you also, to the many that visited, sent flowers, cards, messages, and provided food after his passing. Your kindness has helped us through this very difficult time. We have been reminded of how much he was loved and respected in the community. We find comfort in knowing his life touched so many, and that he was surrounded by love until his last breath. We're so very grateful to everyone who attended his farewell – Hank's last Sunday session. We thank Di Murphy for leading the service with warmth and humour, and to Barry from Paterson's for supporting our family with dignity. Special thanks to Elizabeth St Day Centre, Radius Hawthorne, Christchurch, and Radius Millstream, Ashburton for caring for Hank.
Hank would have been overwhelmed with the guard of honour formed by Ashburton Celtic Rugby, Celtic Netball and RX Plastics. Hank lived a very big life, and among other things will be remembered for his work ethic, his geniality, and his generosity. Please accept this as a personal acknowledgement to you all.
