With sadness, we share the passing of Edwin Paterson (Christchurch, South Island). Edwin passed away on July 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Edwin for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Edwin’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret; his children, Peter, Jan, Richard, Steven and Lynne; and his sibling Lib Trevithick.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Westpark Chapel (467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand).
