Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, aged 68 years. Much loved son of the late Selwyn and Anne. Treasured and much loved special brother and brother-in-law to Peter and Anne, Jeffrey and Brenda, and Michael. Loved uncle to his nephews, and cherished great-uncle to his great-nephews and nieces. Loved nephew of Rob and Margaret Birchfield (Motueka), Lyn and Ian Owens (Waikanae), George and Shirley Schroeder (both dec), Alistair and Kathy Schroeder (Barrytown). Thank you to the carers at IDEA Services for their help and support during Chris' life. Chris had many happy years with his flatmates at his Golding Ave residence in Rangiora, and he loved going on holiday to Okiwi Bay and Motueka. Special thanks to the staff at Parklands Hospital for their care over the past three years.

A private service will be held.
