Passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, at Ngaio Marsh Retirement Village, Christchurch, aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband of Sheila. Much loved father and father-in-law of Cathy and Jamie, Graham, and Martin and Sara. Cherished grandfather of Laura and Ben, Shannon, and Liam and Alex. A special thanks to the staff at Ngaio Marsh for their love and care of Bernie.

Bernard will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.

A funeral service to celebrate Bernard's life will be held at St Gregory's Catholic Church, 26 Cotswold Avenue, Bishopdale, Christchurch, on Wednesday, July 15, at 1.00pm.
