Reid, Peter John (Pete). Passed away peacefully in Broadview, on Monday 21st September 2026 (aged 80 years), with Rema by his side. A fully lived life. Pete loved being a husband, a granddad, a friend, a teacher and a sportsman. He was a dearly loved husband of Rema and cherished Grandfather (Pop) to his whanau: Melissa, Tim, Josh, Jessie, Nate Rankin-Mills and Jackie, Mathew, Samuel, Theo Pitchforth, and Quentin Chilcott and Aisling. Adored brother to Jude. A special thanks to his caregivers and staff at Broadview and Jane Winston.

A service to celebrate Pete's life will be held in the Cleveland Chapel, 179 Ingestre Street on Saturday 26th September 2026 at 2pm.
