van der Vegt, Gerrit Jan (Gerald). In Loving Memory of Gerrit Jan van der Vegt Also affectionately known as Gerald and Gert. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald, who passed away peacefully at Ons Dorp on 11 June 2026, at the age of 93. Gerald was a beloved husband and friend who will be remembered for his intelligence and sense of humour. He was one of the founding members of Ons Dorp and a valued member of the Henderson Bowling Club for many years. Gerald touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Gerald was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Willemina. We would like to thank everyone who helped care for Gerald, especially the teams from West Auckland Hospice, Bupa Glenburn, and Ons Dorp.

A private cremation will be held on 17 June 2026. Forever remembered and dearly missed.
