Of Woodville. Passed away unexpectedly as the result of an accident on Monday 21 September 2026, aged 79 years. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Clinton and Cath, Victoria (Tori) and Peter, Douglas and Marta. Loved Grandad of Lauchie, Hamish, Jack, Harry, Kate and Anouk. Loved brother of Gary and Robyn. A donation in memory of Peter can be made to Hato Hone St John Ambulance or Life Flight Trust. A Memorial Service for Peter will be held at the Woodville Sports Stadium, 64 Ross St, Woodville, on Saturday 3 October 2026 at 1.00pm. 6.1.1955 - 15.9.2026 (A loyal KiwiRail worker for 50 years) it is with the heaviest of hearts, that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, friend and soulmate of Jean for 41 years. Much loved dad of Michael and Tracey, Melissa, and Phillip and Koro of 11 grandchildren and great-Koro of 7 great-grandchildren. A much loved and respected work colleague and friend to many. After a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer, our beautiful husband, dad, Koro and brother has peacefully gained his wings surrounded with his loving family. There are no words that can truly express the pain of losing someone who meant so much to us. He was our strength, our protector, our provider, and the heart of our family. As a husband, he loved deeply. As a dad, he gave endlessly. And as a Koro, he brought a special kind of love, warmth, and joy that will forever be treasured. He fought his battle with incredible courage and strength, never giving up. Although cancer may have taken his body, it could never take away the love he gave us, the memories we shared, or the beautiful legacy he leaves behind. Our hearts are broken, and life will never be the same without him. We will miss his voice, his laughter, his presence, his hugs, and all the little things that made him who he was. Until we meet again, please rest peacefully, our beloved husband, dad and Koro. You fought so bravely. Your suffering is over, and you can finally rest. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts. A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful caring supportive staff at Arohanui Hospice and the district nurses who supported Jean and Phil throughout this journey. In lieu of flowers donations to Arohanui Hospice would be appreciated and may be left in the Chapel foyer. (JP, Retired) Passed away peacefully on Sunday 13 September 2026, aged 79 years, surrounded by his family. Now at rest after a lifetime devoted to his beloved home, Cross Hills Gardens. Devoted husband of Faith for 54 years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Scott and Angela, and Rachael and Kam. Treasured Poppa of Ruby, Henry and Eddie. Dearly loved son of the late Eric and Merle; dear brother and brother-in-law of Graham and Anne, and Pauline and Alan (both deceased); and a valued brother-in-law of Karen and Mike (deceased), and Layton and Vena. A much-loved uncle to his nieces and nephews. We are deeply grateful for the love and care Rodney received from his caregivers and nurses at Coombrae and Woodlands Rest Homes. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson's New Zealand would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A funeral service to celebrate Rodney's life will be held at the Feilding Funeral Chapel, 282 Kimbolton Road, Feilding, on Friday 18 September 2026 at 11.00am, followed by interment at Kimbolton Cemetery.
