BENNETT, John Edward. 14/01/1931 - 22/09/2026 Passed peacefully at Waiapu House on Tuesday 22nd September. Dearly loved husband of Jenny and the late Eve. Much loved Father and Father in Law of Craig and Janet, Grant and Rosemary. Loving Grandpa of Kezia and Andrew. Loved and respected Step Dad of Gary and Brenda. Gone to be with the Lord he loved. Special thanks to Leeann Agnew and to all the staff at Waiapu House for their excellent and devoted care of John. A service of thanksgiving for John's life will be held at Arohanui Church, 81 Middle Rd Havelock North, at 1.30pm on Monday 28/09/26. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hato Hone St John Ambulance would be welcomed. A collection box will be at the service.

WARD, George David (Dave). Passed away peacefully on 4 September 2026, aged 86 years. Dearly loved husband of Sharon (deceased), loved father and father in law to Karen and Darryl, Philippa and Tommy, Matt and Angie and Adam and Vicki. Treasured grandfather to Asha, Hudson, Madison, Selicia, Charlee, Aden and Mya. In accordance with Dave's wishes, a private funeral has been held. Loved always, remembered forever.

PATERSON, Joan. With heartfelt sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Joan Linley Paterson (née Renton) on 17 August, surrounded by her loving family. Much-loved mother of Brent, Sarah and the late Lucy. Loved mother-in-law of Jackie and Simi. Adored grandmother of Annabel and Johannah, Oliver and Jasper. Dearly loved wife of the late John Paterson and, more recently the late Brian Hutchinson. A private cremation will take place later this week. Family and friends are warmly invited to join us for a celebration of Joanie's life on Saturday the 29th August at 2pm, Brent and Jackies place, 26 School Road, Havelock North.

GRAY, Anna Elizabeth Blake. Suddenly and unexpectedly passed on Friday 14 August 2026 at Hastings Memorial Hospital aged 83. A big thank you to the wonderful care by the hospital staff, and the agencies such as Older Person's Mental Health, Health Care NZ, Emerge and Miranda Smith along with friends who made Anna's last few years the best they could be The service will be at 1pm Thursday 20 August at Crestwood, 615 Heretaunga Street East, Hastings No flowers please, instead a donation to the Hastings Women's Refuge.

STEVENSON, Cheryl Ann. After a courageous battle, Cheryl passed away peacefully on 3 July at the Hastings Hospital. Most loved and adored wife of John for 55 years. Loved Mother and Mother-In-Law of Glenn and Kirsten, Blair and Silvi (Austria), Jade and Bernadette, and Callum and Jodi. Grandma of 9 and Great Grandmother of 8. DORMER, Paula Scott. 14 November 1928 - 30 June 2026 Passed away peacefully at the age of 97. Loved wife of Peter Edward Dormer (dec). Dearly loved mum and mother in law of Claire and Vince, Richard and Carol, Rachel and Graham, Heather and Tim. A treasured grandmother to her 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and a friend to many. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at both Mary Doyle and James Wattie for their love and care.
