Passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, aged 93 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Clare (nee McCone). Much loved father and father-in-law of Debbie and Chris Waalkens, Nicki Mortimer and partner Julia Mitchell, Sally and Mark Simmonds, and Andrew and Penny Mortimer. Devoted granddad to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A distinguished paediatrician, former Dean of the Dunedin School of Medicine, and dedicated teacher who touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by his family, colleagues, and the medical community. A service to celebrate Graham's life will be held at the All Saints Chapel, Purewa crematorium, St Johns, Auckland, on Wednesday, August 19, at 2.00pm. PARTON, Ian David (Ian). 11 April 1938 - 9 August 2026 The King of the kiln, Master of Gowing Drive and one of the last men to successfully rock a pair of stubbies, our Dave has gone on to his next adventure. Beloved husband of Judy for 65 short years, tolerant Dad to Glenn, Bruce, Ross and his favourite Debs, and Gpa/ Poppa to Jamie, Ash, Dan, Lily, Harriet, Sam and Synneve. A celebration of Dave's life will be held at the All Saints Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank, Auckland on Thursday 20th August at 4pm. MASON, Jennifer Anne (nee Opperman). Thursday 6th August in Auckland, in her 92nd year. Loved wife of Archie Mason, mother and mother-in-law of SallyAnne, Roz, Joanna and Robert, and Guy. Granna to seven and Great Granna to three. Daughter of Mollie and John Opperman, sister of Stephanie Till. Aunt, Great Aunt, and friend to many. A private cremation has taken place, and we invite family and friends to attend a gathering to celebrate Jenny's life on Saturday 22nd August between 2pm & 5pm, at 1B Reiputa Lane, Mt Wellington.
