Masefield, Sarah Gladys (Topsy). Passed away aged 105 at Gracedale Care Home after a short decline, on Friday 28th August 2026. Devoted wife of the late Don. Beloved mother and mother-in-law to Glynne and Rex, Kerrie and Graham, and Gareth and Carolyn. Nain (Grandmother) to Lizzie, Alicia, Michael, and Depp, and Great-Nain to Sarah, Cameron, Erin, and Maria. Loved by all those who knew her. Much loved husband of 58 years to Valerie, father and father-in-law of Troy and Laura, Wade and Melanie, Logan and Lidia, grandfather to Ethan and Monika, Harrison, Jacob, Elizabeth, Miles, and Matthew. Peter died on Saturday night, aged 84, with typical strength and dignity. A truly inspiring gift to the world of goodness, conviction and warmth. Living on in the hearts of wife Jenny, twins Richard and Rebecca, and their partners Jo and Jack, his Grand darling things, Ella and Felix, and the global village he built with love. A celebration of Peter's life will be held at 2.30pm on Saturday 1st August 2026, at the North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany.
