Passed away peacefully at Nelson Hospital on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Beloved husband of Glenda for 55 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Ian and Debbie, Grant and Petra, Mark and Carolyn and loved Johnpa of Ella, Hannah and Oliver; Sienna and Luca; Christabel and Hunter. Brother of David and the late Margaret and brother-in-law of Robert, and a much loved uncle.

A service to celebrate the life of John is being held at the Whakatū Presbyterian Church, Champion Road, Richmond on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 2.00pm.
