Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Christchurch Hospital on Monday, July 20, 2026, aged 87 years. Beloved husband of Jan, and the late Betty. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Stephen and Belinda, Christopher and Kathie, Karen and Richard, Jeffrey and Lisa. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Christina and John, Maurice and Jane, Jocelyn and the late Brian, Judith, Cardie, Phillip, Dorothy and Graham. Loved stepfather and stepfather-in-law to Adam and Rebecca, Andrea and Simon, Simon and Stephanie, and the late Leanne. Much loved Grandad of Troy and Renee. Also a loved Grandad to William and Katie, Lucy, Sam and Ben, Lydia, Charlotte and Tom. Great-Grandad to Lily, Niko and Archie. Will be sadly missed by the extended family and many friends. Special thanks to Nephrology team, and the staff at Christchurch Hospital for all their loving care of Vince. Thank you to Rhodes on Cashmere for their friendship, love and support of Vince. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society NZ would be appreciated and may be made at www.cancer.org.nz . In accordance with Vince's wishes a private cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Vince's life will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Streets, on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 1.00pm.
