Passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Burwood Hospital, with his tamariki at his side and country music playing.

Charlie leaves behind his tamariki, Maarie and Gavin and their partners Tony and Lynn, his wife Vitu and his moko Isabella and Max. His sister June was by his side every day and he enjoyed being visited by his nieces and nephews. We are grateful for the excellent care provided by Dr Glanville, her medical team, and the nursing and allied health teams on ward 1C. Charlie was kind, generous with his time, and shared his sense of humour with us all. He is at peace now and will be laid to rest in Rapaki with his father and brother.
