On July 26, 2026, surrounded by family, at Rosebank Lifecare, Ashburton, aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband of Jackie for 61 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of James and Tuula, Amanda, Annabelle and Adam Tyrie. Adored Grandad of Siena, and Lucia; and Olivia, and Jack. Loved brother of Carol, and the late Robin.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held in Our Chapel cnr East and Cox Streets, Ashburton, on Thursday, July 30, commencing at 11.00am, followed by interment at the Ashburton Seafield Lawn Cemetery.
