Passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was the dearly loved husband of Marlene for 61 years. Father of Murray and Denise, Grandad of Ben, Annalise, Georgia, Caleb and Sylvia, and Great-Grandad of Leia. Loved father-in-law of Shane, Kelly and Seanne. Grateful thanks to the wonderful staff at Christchurch Hospital respiratory ward for their above and beyond care of Dick and family.

A celebration of his life will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entrance from London and Whitmore Streets, Richmond, Christchurch, on Thursday, July 30, at 1.00pm.
