Passed away at Dunedin Hospital on May 17, 2026; aged 79 years. Much loved son of the late William Somerset Malvern (Matt) and Isabella Baird, loved brother of Nicola, and Michael, a loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. At Richard's request a private cremation has taken place with an ash interment planned for later in the Hokitika Cemetery.
