Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, aged 73 years. Much loved wife of the late Selwyn Haxell and loving mother of the late Shanan James Haxell, SJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Diamond Harbour Cancer Support Group at the service. Thank you to the wonderful caring staff at Cashmere View and for all the support from friends and family.

A celebration of Merylin's life will be held at St Andrews Community Church, 85 Marine Drive, Diamond Harbour, on Thursday, July 23, at 12 noon, followed by interment of Merylin's ashes at the Diamond Harbour Cemetery.
