On July 8, 2026, Mary passed away peacefully while sleeping, aged 97 years, at Chatswood Retirement Village, Christchurch. Dearly loved wife of the late Herbert John Ibbetson and dearly loved mum of Julie Montague and Maree Nutira, and dearly loved nanna of Julia, Samuel, Taylor, Samatha and Chloe and great-nanna to 10 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Lyn and the staff at Chatswood who loved and cared for her. Mary was a much loved, precious wee lady. Messages may be addressed to the family at 1A Parklands Drive, Huntsbury, Christchurch, 8022. There will be a private cremation and please no flowers required.
