Mum passed peacefully on September 17, 2026, after a very full life spanning 96 years. Dearly beloved wife of the late Raymond James. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Peter and Hinako, Karen and Ross, John and Anne, Francine, Noel and Julie, Jayne and Sean, and the late Kristine, and their respective families. Greatly loved wee Mary/Gran to her 13 grandchildren and her 11 great-grandchildren. Beloved daughter of the late James and Jessie Doherty, and sister and sister-in-law of all her late siblings, Hugh and Gwen, Jimmy and Joyce, Doreen, Bernie and Joan, Patty and Chris, Eileen and Keith, and Gay and Alan, and sister-in-law to all the late Gullick family, Kath and Jack Kurta, Kevin and Lorraine Gullick, Zita and Pat Cahill, and Francis and David Byron. The last of her family of seven. The end of an era for the Doherty clan. Loved and respected by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Always up for a visit and catch up. She will be missed by many.

May she Rest in Peace.

A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 23 at 7.00pm at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Winton. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Winton, on Thursday, September 24 at 11.00am, followed by interment at the East Winton Cemetery.
