On July 30, 2026, peacefully at WindsorCare, Christchurch, at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Brian Gallagher. Beloved mother of Carolyn, Barry (Dianne), Peter (Vickie), and the late Maureen and Stephen. Adored Nana of Rebecca (Mark), Fiona (Hayden), Grace, James, Ryon (Diego), Michelle (Will), Sarah and Beth. Loved by all her great-grandchildren Matthew (Winz), Anna, Emily, Jonty, Nora, Sophie, Marnie and Charlotte. Family wish to thank the staff at WindsorCare for their compassion and care during Marie's stay. A link to the Livestream of the Funeral Mass is available via johnrhind.co.nz on Marie's notice in "Upcoming Funerals". A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Mary's Pro Cathedral, Manchester St, on Friday, August 7, at 1.30pm, followed by a burial at Ruru Lawn Cemetery. All family and friends invited. A Rosary will be held at the John Rhind Chapel, 19 London Street, Richmond, on Thursday, August 6, at 6.00pm.
