Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Nazareth House, Christchurch. Loved wife of the late Murray. Loved mother of Mary, Rachel and Virginia, and loved mother-in-law of Ken and Robin. A proud and loving Nana to Jimmy. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family.

No flowers by request please. Messages may be addressed to the family of the late Margaret Shackel, c/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11.30am on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Nazareth Chapel, 220 Brougham Street, Sydenham, Christchurch. Rosary will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 7.00pm.
