Now tending the greatest garden of all.

It is with great sadness, but hearts full of love and gratitude, that we share the passing of Alex Norton, well known and dearly loved 'Pop' to many. A wonderful and full life of nearly 96 years, Alex was the soulmate and dearly loved husband of Joan (dec). He will be greatly missed by his daughters, daughter-in-law and sons-in-law: Glenda and Ian Moore, Barbara and Les Dunn, The Very Rev Andrew (dec) and Sue Norton, and Clare and Karl Engelbrecht. Treasured and adored Pop to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved brother-in-law of Joyce Fraser (Timaru) and Mary Tranter (Australia). Son of Charles and Margaret. Brother of the late Laurie, Margaret and Allan. Special thanks to Dr Fish and the team at Oak House, Waimate, and the Hospice team in Timaru for the compassion, warmth and comfort shown to Alex and his family. A celebration of Alex's life will be held at Knox Church, 58 Shearman Street, Waimate on Saturday, October 10, at 11.00am. A livestream of the service is available, please email office@aoraki.kiwi.nz or call 03 6862148. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice South Canterbury would be much appreciated and can be left at the service. Messages to: the Norton family, c/- G.M. Moore, 305 Upper Hook Road, Waimate 7978.

At peace, among the flowers.
