On August 25, 2026, Jack passed away surrounded by his whānau, aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Mary. Cherished father of Mataara, Sam, John, Hemi and Linkoln. Beloved Poua to his grandchildren Cameron, Ryan, Shannon, Jay, James, Jacob, Sheridan, Jamain, Keanau, Dakota, Katana, Takena, Apahoua and Arapera, and great-grandchildren Brielle and Anakiwa. A service to celebrate Jack's life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2.00pm, at Te Kai a Te Atua Urupā, 137 Old North Road, Kaiapoi, where he will be laid to rest beside his mum. Whānau and friends are warmly invited to attend the hakari following the service at 4.00pm at the Hornby Panthers Rugby League Club, 822 Haswell Junction Road, Islington.
