Janis McRAE

In her 79th year. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2026, following a courageous battle with chronic pain. Dearly loved elder daughter of Halmai and Lawrence McRae of Little River, and later Takamatua. Much-loved Aunt of Christian, Stella and Halmai, and big sister of Brigid. Kind and loving Great-Aunt of Ada, Rosie and Ronnie. Partner and long-time friend of the late Barry Colls and special friend of his children David, Susie, Rebecca and Andrew. A strong, determined, and generous soul who touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A private friends and family Requiem Mass has been held according to Jan's wishes. Details of an interment ceremony of Jan's ashes will be advised at a later date.
