On August 8, 2026, peacefully at Ashburton Hospital, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband of Eleanor, loving father and father-in-law of Nicki and Greg, Paul, Brett and Lisa, and Kathryn and Rob. Loved Grandad of Sydney, Maddy, Clare, Jessica, Dallas, Ryan, Callum and Jack. Loved brother of Gladys (deceased), and brother-in-law of Isabel and Peter (deceased), and uncle to his six nephews and nieces. Thank you to all the various medical teams who helped Jim live a full life.

A service to celebrate Jim's life will be held in Our Chapel, cnr East & Cox Streets, Ashburton, on Thursday, August 13, commencing at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation at the Ashburton Crematorium.
