It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved dad at his Gold Coast home that he shared with adored partner Helen, on July 23, 2026, aged 87.

Dearly loved husband of the late Erin, beloved partner of Helen, much-loved father of Tony, Debbie and Dean, treasured father-in-law of Rachel, Jock and former son-in-law Dan, adored grandfather of Tyler and Walker, Chris and Hannah, Bailee and Paige, and a cherished friend, mentor, drinking companion, sailor and golf partner to many.

Dad will be remembered for his charismatic character, humour, sharp mind and a role model to many. He was someone that made the most of his life in every possible way. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Forever loved, sadly missed, and always in our hearts.

We will advise of a memorial service to be held in Christchurch when we have a suitable venue and date.
