Peacefully on September 2, 2026 at his home, in the loving care of NZCL Christchurch. Dearly loved son of the late Iris and Bruce Cameron and beloved brother and brother-in-law of John, Colin and Lauren, Paul and Marie, Annie, Claire and Nick, Marg and Pat Houlihan, Colleen and John Trew.

First in the family to be reunited with mum and dad.

The family wish to acknowledge all the staff of NZCL for their unwavering care, and their gifts of love, comfort and support over many years, and we express gratitude for their dedication and professional service. NZCL never faltered in providing a secure and happy home for Ian, creating friendships with his housemates and his carers. We always knew he was in the best hands. The Celebration of Ian's life will be held in the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel, Corner Keighleys road and Linwood Avenue, Christchurch on Monday, September 7, 2026 at 2.00pm.
