Passed peacefully at her home in Wānaka, surrounded by her family, on June 20, 2026; in her 90th year. Much loved and devoted wife of Ian, cherished mother and mother-in-law of Jill, John, Robyn and Richard Merrett, adored grandmother of Jane, Matthew, Katie, Libby, Nick, Annabel, James, and Ella, and a proud and loving great-grandmother to her 5 great-grandchildren. Loved daughter of the late Raymond (W.R.) and Margaret Borrie, and loved sister of the late Ann Plunket and Elizabeth McEwan. Helen will be remembered for her kindness, strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. Her gentle presence, wisdom, and sense of humour will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family sincerely thank Hospice, the nursing team,

RDNS, and the staff of Aspiring Village for their exceptional care, compassion, and support. In accordance with Helen's wishes, a private family service has been held.
