Born Christchurch October 17, 1931, died peacefully at his residence in Hamilton, September 2, 2026. Doreen's dearly loved husband of 66 years. Much loved father of Malcolm and Kathy, Chris and Lynne, Karen and Eugene Watene, and Judith Fraser. First son to John (Jack) Erskine and Eileen (nee Buttimore) Fraser. Respected and fondly regarded brother to Brian and Prim Fraser in Newcastle Australia. Loved grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and cousin to many. Senior Fellow at University of Canterbury, published author and contributor, colleague, supervisor, and mentor to a vast number of students across the international academic and physics community. In accordance with his wishes, he has been cremated. His ashes will be interred at a future date in Christchurch.
