Aged 72, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2026, after enduring a heart-breaking battle with Motor Neurone Disease. Son of the late Kevin and Gloria Neylon. Cherished husband of his devoted wife Christine, dearly loved father, father-in-law, and granddad to, Simon and Debbie, Harriet and Sophia; Michelle and Alan, Florence and Edith; David and Emma, Charlotte and Matilda; Linda and Tony, Ruby and Isobel; Claire and Alex, and Pedal. Loving brother to Judy, Eloise, Kevin, Brian, Peter and the late Leone, special brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, and friend to many. Graeme's wishes for a private cremation are being honoured.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Reefton Area School Hall on Saturday, September 19 at 1.00pm, followed by light refreshments. All are then warmly invited to join Graeme's family at Dawson's to continue sharing stories, memories and refreshments.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Motor Neurone Disease New Zealand would be greatly appreciated and may be made at the venue. To all who have messaged, called and offered words of comfort and support, please accept this as our personal acknowledgement and heartfelt thanks. Graeme's life was shaped by the land, centered on family and committed to his community - a man who stood up for people and for the things that truly mattered.
