Our miracle boy Benji died peacefully at home on July 12, 2026, aged 6 years after a five-year battle with cancer. Precious younger son of Sam and Liv, Benji will be sorely missed by his big brother Louie, grandparents Trish and Dean, and Melanie and Ian, great-grandparents Fran and Dennis Brown (Rangiora), his three aunties Sarah, Jess, and Madelaine, and all his family and friends. With a sparkle in his eyes and a smile for everyone Benji lived every minute of his short life. Messages may be addressed to: The family of Benji Read, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The funeral service for Benji will be held at Oaklands, corner Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell, on Thursday, July 16, at 10.30am.
