Wendy HITESMAN

Hitesman, Wendy Ann. Passed away peacefully at home in Paihia on 7 July 2026, aged 87, after a short battle with cancer. Surrounded by family, Wendy passed on her own terms and in charge of the journey until the very end. Dearly loved wife of the late Peter, loved daughter of Jack and Babs Griffiths, sibling to John and Verlaine, stepmother of Chris and Michelle, aunty to Peter, Ian, Marc, and Samantha, and cherished Nana to Jordan, Rachel, and Meadow. Wendy will be remembered for her sharp sense of humour, unwavering determination, and the deep value she placed on her family, community and friends. Just weeks after Peter's passing, she has gone to join him once again. Our heartfelt thanks to the hospice team, Wendy's doctors, Michelle for her exceptional care and support during Wendy's final weeks, and to the many friends and family whose love and presence meant so much.
