Houghton, Valerie (Val). Surrounded by her loving family, at the home she loved in Mount Maunganui, Val passed away on Thursday the 27th of August 2026; aged 88 years. Deeply loved Wife of Rex for over 68 years. Treasured Mum and Mother-in-law of Debbie and Peter, Mark and Penni, and Jason and Anastasiya. Adored Nan of her 6 Grandchildren, and Grand-Nan of her 5 Great-Grandchildren. "A loving, dedicated and fun Wife, Mum, and Nan who will be sorely missed forever" You are welcome to join us in celebrating Val's life on Thursday the 3rd of September at 1:30pm, in the Elliotts Chapel on Cameron, 414 Cameron Road, Tauranga (parking access from 8th Avenue).
