HAWTHORN, Ruth. Peacefully, on Thursday 23 July, 2026; aged 104 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Gordon Charles Hawthorn (Slim). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Gaylene and Keith, Raewyn and Ian, Joy and the late Larry. Loved grandmother and Nana of 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Ruth's life will be held at The Paeroa Co-operating Parish Church, cnr Willoughby and Mackay Streets, Paeroa on Monday 27 July at 11.30am, followed by private cremation.
