HANCOX, Robert Leslie (Bob). On 28 July 2026, at Auckland Hospital in his 78th year. Dearly loved Dad of Lise and Neville, father-in-law to Dan. Adored Poppa of Ben. Much loved son of the late Joza and Les, brother of Elaine and Trevor, brother-in-law to John and Kathy, fiancé of the late Jenny. A man of extraordinary toughness who defied the odds more than once, and who never lost his love of league, the races, or a good hand of cards.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Thursday 6 August at 10.00am followed by refreshments and a private burial.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Eastern Bays Hospice Trust would be appreciated.
