PLOWMAN, Philip Sydney. Died very peacefully at home in Auckland with loving family at his side on 9 September 2026, aged 81 years. Philip faced his illness with the same tenacity, relentless determination and ingenuity he brought to any challenge. Deeply cherished father of Amber, Mica and Jade, much-loved father-in-law of Daniel, grandfather to Demelza, Eugene, Alister and Islay, and proud great grandfather of Wolf. A sailor, skilled guitar player and a craftsman. He will be remembered for his clever, imaginative mind and his dry humour. A kind, generous and practical man.

A celebration of Phil's life will be held in due course.
