SMITH, Michael Barry. Peacefully on 17 July 2026, aged 79, with his loving family at his side. Beloved son of the late Ivan and Eileen Smith; very much loved by Cindy; treasured father of Jessica and Nick, Dominic, and Miriam; Poppop to Zoë, Zaymia, Cleo and Oscar; dearly remembered by Kate and Amy. Always ready with a quip to set a room alight with laughter, Michael will be greatly missed by many.

A private cremation will be followed by a celebration of Michael's life at Purewa All Saints Chapel, Monday 7th September, 12pm.
