Thomas, Mervyn Roland (Merv). Passed away on 30 June 2026 in Auckland, surrounded by his family, aged 94. Known to many as "Sir Hornblower Combover" of the Auckland Jazz and Blues Club, Merv will be deeply missed by his children Cheryl, Sandra, Lindsay, Gary and Julie, their partners, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private family service has been held. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Mercy Hospice for their support and care.
