Laurie POWELL

Powell, Laurie (Laurence Edgar). Died 29 September 2026 aged 90, following a short illness. Dearly loved husband of Lesley for 65 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Grant and Lucy, Clare and Ben, and David. Treasured Grandad of Emma, Liam, Mason, Theo, Noah, Molly and Gabriel. Adored by a succession of six Shelties over 47 years. Laurie will be remembered for his strong faith, love for his family, service to others, a practical nature, and his ability to build almost anything - from boats to wooden toys - with an artist's eye. Many thanks to the team at Metlifecare Fairway Gardens Care Suites for their compassionate care of Laurie in his last weeks.
