Died 26 June 2026Posted 4 July 2026

Yip, Kelly (Architect). On 26 June 2026 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Kelly died peacefully, aged 83. Cherished husband and best friend of Judy for 54 years. Much-loved father of Tim and Keryn, father-in-law of Fil, and proud GongGong of Ryder, Mason, Felix and Chloe, who brought him endless joy. Uncle Kelly to Bev and special friend of Norm and Jacqui. An architect by profession and an adventurer by nature, Kelly approached life with curiosity and determination. He loved skiing in Canada, multi-day tramping trips, travel and new experiences, and remained remarkably active throughout his life, still enjoying regular gym sessions until his illness. Kelly leaves behind a legacy not only in his many achievements, but in the family he loved and the many friendships he treasured.

A private cremation has been held. Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Kelly's life at 2pm on Thursday 9 July 2026 at Morrisons Funerals, 79 Line Road, Glen Innes, Auckland.

The service will also be live-streamed. Casual dress welcome.

Donations to Mercy Hospice would be appreciated. Livestream link is available on the Morrisons Funerals website.
