Webb, Julian Arthur. 3rd September 1929 - 7th August 2026 A man of faith who passed away peacefully in Tauranga, setting sail for his final port aged 96 years. Recorded born 4th September 1929 in Lower Hutt, Wellington. Loved son of the late Cora (nee Jarman) and Julian Mark Webb. Much-loved brother of Deryck and sister-in-law June. Julian, and the late Margaret Webb (Chell), shared three daughters, through which he is survived by and lovingly remembered, Virginia Wiig (her late husband Graeme), Denise Miller (husband, Chris) and Julie Webb (husband, Warren Nelson). Treasured Grandad to his many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren, Niece and Nephew and their families. Julian lived a rich and varied life as a marine engineer, notably being a rescuer during the Wahine disaster in 1968. In accordance with Julian's wishes a memorial gathering for Julian will be held at noon, 5th September 2026 at the Lounge of Remembrance, Purewa Cemetery, St Johns Road, Auckland. Friends and family are welcome to join us to celebrate Julian's unique character and share some of the stories from his life.
