HUGHES, John Robert. 26 October 1944 - 19 September 2026 Cherished son of the late Percy and Pearl. Beloved stepson of the late Bryan. Much loved brother of Russell, Derek and the late Yvonne. Loved brother-in-law of Jan and Jenny. Uncle to Paul, Shaun, Brent, Andrea and the late Michelle. John's special talents were appreciated deeply by his family, friends and colleagues. John's family thank the staff of St. Andrew's Village for the gentle, thoughtful, respectful care given to John. As John wished, a private cremation has been held. A gathering to celebrate John's life will be held at the Akarana Events Centre, 8/10 Tamaki Drive, Orakei, Auckland on Monday 26 October, 2.30pm to 5pm.
