Hunt, Jim. Reverend Nicholas James Irwin. Jim passed away peacefully on Saturday 18 July 2026 at Sarah Selwyn Hospital in Selwyn Village, aged 99 and 11 months. He is remembered in Melanesia, within the Anglican Diocese of Auckland and in diverse communities for his whole-hearted dedication to his calling, for practical service, and for being a generous friend to many. Jim was dearly loved by his late wife Florence (Flo) and late daughter Elizabeth. Daughters Isabel, Margaret and Andrea live on to remember them all with love and respect. Jim's family includes seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at Christ the King Chapel, Selwyn Village, Point Chevalier on Monday 27 July at 12.30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Auckland City Mission would be greatly appreciated. We thank those who have visited and cared for Jim in his latter years.
