Jeffrey SHAW

SHAW, Jeffrey (John). Passed away peacefully on 23 July 2026, aged 85, surrounded by family. Dearly beloved husband of Ann for 60 years; loving father to Katie, Richard and Caroline; much loved father-in-law to David, Shirleyanne and Matthew; treasured grandpa to Tom, Isabel, William, Fran, Felix and Maddy. A fine lawyer, John contributed to the profession in countless ways over his long career. He was a loyal friend to many throughout his life, and gave generously of himself to numerous community organisations. Strengthened by faith, he faced his final illness with courage and grace, receiving wonderful care from Gill Gibbs and her District nurses and the team at Mercy Hospice. A Rosary will be held on Friday, 31 July at 7.00pm at St Michael's Catholic Church, 6 Beatrice Road, Remuera. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Michael's on Saturday, 1 August at 10.30am.
