HUME, Elizabeth Jane (Bette). On 13 August 2026, Bette passed peacefully in Taupō, aged 97 years. Dearly loved by her family in New Zealand and the United States. Beloved wife of the late Clifford. Devoted mom to David, Tom and Sue (passed). Treasured grandmother of Nikki, James, Dusty, David, Jason, Jake, Kelli, AJ and Louise. Adored great-grandmother of Blaire, Rory, Oliver, Winifred, Cruz, Ozzy, Sawyer, Quincy and Sauvie.

A service to celebrate Bette's life will be held at St Paul's Union Church, 172 Tamamutu Street, Taupō, on Monday, 24 August at 10:30am, followed by refreshments.
