SMITH, Claire "Joy" (nee McCallum). On Sunday, 13 September, 2026 Claire "Joy" Smith, aged 80 (forever 42), was called home to heaven. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Gordon, married for 60 years. A much loved Mum and mother-in-law to Brynley and Sue, Cameron and Abby, Loraley and Tony, and Sharyn. Cherished Gran to Braydon and Hannah, Mac, Hunter, Isabella, Kiah and Cooper, and adored Great-Gran to Elliot. Joy was one of a kind. She was strong, full of personality and never one to hold back. She had a great sense of humour, a quick wit and a wonderful ability to make people laugh, often when they least expected it. If you ever asked Joy how she was, there was one answer you could pretty much guarantee... "I'm fine." Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Joy.
