Shields, Claire. Passed away peacefully on 25th September 2026 aged 90, at home with her family. Cherished wife of the late Ross Shields. Mother and Mother-in-Law of Donald and Christine. Gma to Erin and Ashley, Amy and Liam and Sally and Chris. Loved Great Grandma to Maggie and Jack, Max and Harry and Charlie and Lila. Mother and Mother-in-Law of Glen and Pip. Grandma Claire to Emma. Mother and Mother-in-Law of Christine and Graham. Doomah and Grandma to Penny and Nicholas. Will forever be in our hearts and dearly missed.

A service to celebrate Claire's life will be held at the Pakuranga Chapel of Davis Funeral, 2a Udys Road, Pakuranga on Tuesday 6th October at 10.30 am. For anyone unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed via davisfunerals.co.nz via the Funerals and Obituaries option.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Totara Hospice would be appreciated and may be made via their website.
