STEVENSON, Celia Mary. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much-loved Mum on Wednesday 19th August 2026, following a long journey with Alzheimer's disease. Mum was a dearly loved mother of two, Lynda and Gavin, a much-loved mother-in-law to Georgina, and a treasured grandmother of Lucy and Leo. She was also a loved sister, sister-in-law, aunty, cousin, godmother, and a very special friend to many. Mum was always welcoming to unexpected guests, often ending up with many sleeping in makeshift beds at her place at the Mount. She lived a full and active life, with a particular passion for walking and the outdoors. Over the years, she was an enthusiastic member of a number of walking and outdoor activity clubs in both Auckland and Mount Maunganui, where she formed many wonderful and lasting friendships. We feel especially grateful that she was recently able to celebrate her 80th birthday surrounded by family and friends - a very special occasion and a wonderful celebration of a life filled with family, friendship, and many happy memories. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all those whose lives she touched. In accordance with her wishes, a private cremation will be held.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date, with details to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's New Zealand or Dementia New Zealand would be greatly appreciated in her memory. All communications to the Stevenson Family C/o Collingwood, 1358 Eruera St, Rotorua. Forever loved, forever remembered.
