Lakin, Brian. 27 September 1938 - 4 September 2026 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Brian, following a short illness at Aria Bay Retirement Village, Browns Bay, Auckland. A dearly loved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and brother, Brian will be deeply missed by his family and by the many people whose lives he touched throughout his 87 years. Beloved husband of Irene, much-loved father of Tanea and Leianda, father-in-law of Tom and the late Tim, and cherished grandfather of Brianna and fiance Matt, and Annie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of of Doreen, Roy and Babs, the late Peter and Lynda, and Keith and Jan. Brian will be remembered with great love and affection. His strength, warmth and love for his family will remain forever in our hearts, and his memory will be treasured always. He was a thoroughly good rooster! Brian's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Aria Bay for the care, kindness and compassion they showed Brian and his family, particularly during his final days. We will always be grateful for the love and dignity with which they cared for him. Following a private cremation, a Celebration of Brian's Life will be held on 27 September 2026, which would have been Brian's 88th birthday.
